Tips to Stretch the Life of Your Wine

There are few things more pleasurable than opening a bottle and pouring that first glass of wine. With a little air, the wine blossoms. Whether your chosen bottle accompanies a meal or it’s simply shared among friends, wine seems to make the moment a bit more special.

But after the moment has passed, your open bottle of wine inevitably begins to change—and not for the best. With time, the wine begins to lose its freshness, and the fruit is less complex. Wait a little longer, and you find an unpleasant sharpness in the finish. Your wine is well on its way to becoming vinegar.
