Wedding Planners Capitalize on the Region’s Booming Wedding Bells

Imagine spending workdays in beautiful places while celebrating joyful occasions filled with exquisite food, elaborate flowers and outfits, and drinks to toast a new couple. To the uneducated, the life of a wedding planner may seem, at first glance, like it is a glamorous, fun job. But if there’s anything wedding planners in the Asheville area want you to know, it’s that glamorous is the last word they’d use to describe their industry. 

To be successful, they’ve learned that it takes long hours, incredible organizational skills, the ability to soothe stressed emotions, attention to detail as they prepare for any unexpected problems, and quick, on-your-feet thinking to go into troubleshooting mode if anything out of the ordinary takes place. Life as a wedding planner is not for the faint of heart and requires a lot of time, persistence, and dedication mixed with all the other skills needed in any good business—a good team structure, beneficial relationships with vendors, proper accounting, and a strong reputation as a leader in the community.
