Ricardo, of Chef Ricardo’s Kitchen, and his wife Suzanne, have announced their third Culinary & Wine Tour to Argentina. The event, billed as first-class and immersive, will run from October 19 through November 5, but there is only room for eighteen foodies. The trip includes food and wine stops with a mix of guided adventure and downtime. Participants can enjoy golf resorts and spas, museums and art, shopping, and visiting the country’s natural wonders. The tour begins in metropolitan Buenos Aires and traverses the arid plateaus to Mendoza, in the heart of the country’s winemaking region. It then turns south to scenic Patagonia and San Carlos de Bariloche, situated on a glacial lake at the foot of the Andes. Participants will be able to see vineyards and the winemaking process and dine with the vintners themselves. Ricardo comes from Argentina and has a lifelong passion to share his country’s tradition of gathering around the family table to share delicious food made from the best ingredients. He and his wife previously opened their award-winning farm-to-table Waynesville restaurant, Lomo Grill, which they operated for sixteen years. They then retired to their farm, producing fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers; catering private parties; and teaching culinary classes at the Fines Creek Community Center.
